Overview
Rising to 6,476m above sea level, Mera Peak, in Khumbu region of Nepal, is known as the gateway to Everest. From its summit, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views which take in five of the world’s highest mountains – Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and, of course, Everest. But it’s not just the views that give Mera its reputation. This relatively easy mountain is often the first Himalayan climbs that mountaineers tackle, paving the way for greater conquests in future.
