Overview
Standing at 6,119m above sea level, high above the glaciers of the Khumbu region of Nepal, just above the Lobuche village. Peak like Mt. Everest and Lhotse liw just 13 km east from the Lobuche peak. Lobuche East is a significant peak, but also one of the most popular, and the easiest to climb. Classified as a “trekking peak” it requires physical fitness and mountain awareness, but doesn’t demand much in the way of technical climbing ability. For this reason we often recommend it to climbers looking to tackle their first Himalayan peak.
